7 steps~20 min totalBeginner friendly
01

Add your domain

~2 minOpen →

Go to Websites → Add Site and enter your domain. Verify ownership with a DNS TXT record or HTML meta tag. SEOVentra supports any stack — static, WordPress, Shopify, custom.

Verify via DNS TXT for production sites — it persists across deploys
HTML meta tag verification works for staging environments
You can add up to 5 domains on the Pro plan
02

Run your first audit

~< 5 minOpen →

Navigate to Audits → Run New Audit. Paste any URL on your domain. SEOVentra runs 40+ checks across meta tags, canonicals, structured data, broken links, robots.txt, and Core Web Vitals.

Start with your homepage, then your highest-traffic pages
Critical issues hurt rankings most — fix those first
The score gain column shows exactly how many points each fix is worth
03

Check your AI visibility score

~3 minOpen →

The AI Visibility tab scores your content across 6 dimensions: LLM readability, content structure, schema coverage, FAQ coverage, content freshness, and entity clarity. Each gap has a specific fix.

FAQPage schema is the highest-impact fix for most sites — adds 10-15 points
Add llms.txt to tell AI crawlers what content to prioritise
Author/Person schema signals E-E-A-T to both Google and AI engines
04

Connect Google Search Console

~5 minOpen →

Settings → Integrations → Google Search Console. Connect via OAuth service account. This unlocks the GSC Indexing API (200 URL submissions/day), Search Analytics data, and keyword position tracking.

Service account setup takes ~5 minutes — follow the in-app guide
Once connected, all new content is auto-submitted to Google
GSC data populates within 24–48 hours of connection
05

Set up IndexNow

~1 minOpen →

Go to Indexing → IndexNow. Your API key is pre-generated. Download the key file and upload it to your domain root, or use the meta tag method. Then connect your CMS publish webhook to auto-submit on every publish.

The key file method is more reliable — works even if your CMS changes
Webhook URL is in Indexing → Settings → Webhook
IndexNow submits to Bing, Yandex, Seznam, and Naver simultaneously
06

Run a competitor comparison

~~3 minOpen →

Competitor Intelligence → enter your URL and up to 3 competitor URLs. Results show a 9-pillar score matrix, gap analysis, trust signal comparison, and a prioritised fix list.

Run this monthly to track competitor movements
Focus on gaps with the highest weight (SEO 25%, AI Visibility 20%)
Export as JSON for client reports or internal tracking
07

Set up alerts

~2 minOpen →

Settings → Alerts. Configure email, webhook, Discord, or Telegram notifications for: score drops, new critical issues, indexing failures, and competitor score changes.

Set a score drop threshold of 10 points for meaningful alerts
Webhook alerts can feed into Slack, Teams, or any custom pipeline
Scheduled audit alerts run weekly by default — adjust in settings
FAQ
How often are audits run automatically?

On the Pro plan, audits run weekly by default. You can configure daily, weekly, or on-demand only in Settings → Audit Schedule. You can also trigger a manual audit anytime.

How does AI visibility scoring work?

SEOVentra uses the Claude API to analyse your content across 6 dimensions and returns a 0-100 score per dimension. Each score comes with specific, actionable fixes — not generic advice.

What happens if I go over my GSC quota?

The GSC Indexing API has a default limit of 200 URLs per day. SEOVentra queues submissions and prioritises new content. The queue auto-flushes at midnight when the quota resets.

Can I use SEOVentra without verifying my domain?

Yes — the free audit tool at seoventra.com works without verification. But to use the dashboard features (scheduled audits, GSC, keyword tracking), domain verification is required.

Does IndexNow work with Google?

No — Google does not participate in the IndexNow protocol. Use the GSC Indexing API integration (Settings → Integrations) for Google submissions.
